Daydreams of the Summer of 2007 will always be marked by the joy our garden brought us. Success – that was the best part. Everything we planted grew, and big! What a miracle to plant seeds and see them grow into a beautiful variety of fresh and healthy edible delights. And how exciting it is to lead toddlers on a hunt for red and green within the garden gate. I don’t think I will ever go without a garden now. I’m so glad we did it this year because at 28 I believe I have a good many years to perfect this art and experience bigger and even more exciting successes with a little piece of earth on the side of the house. I can only imagine how beautiful my garden will be when I’m fifty! All because I seized a day late in May to turn up the dirt for a garden.
